Duties: Unit Manager is responsible for the supervision of nursing care in an organized nursing home unit. Manager will work actively to promote the facility’s Missions and Values Statements in daily operations and serve as a member of the Nursing Home Management Team. Unit manager will function as the charge nurse of his/her station; mentor and support nursing staff; foster a collaborative and positive work environment; provide ongoing education and training; and oversee patient care plans and interventions. Manager will serve on Nursing Home Management Team as “on-call” nurse. During times of crisis, the unit manager may be required to remain on duty or return to the nursing home and provide patient care to ensure that the residents’ needs are met- regardless of the time of day or night.
Hours: Monday-Friday 8-4:30

Qualifications:
Excellent coordination, teaching, and motivational skills.
Strong organizational and analytical skills; oral and written communication skills.
Working knowledge of personal computer and software applications applicable to job functions.
Freedom from use and effects of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Graduate from a state accredited school of nursing
Current registration as a licensed professional nurse in Mississippi
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 1-year clinical nursing experience.
Supervisory nursing experience.
