Title: Employee Health and Infection Preventionist

Summary: In this dual role, the nurse is responsible for leading and maintaining the organization’s infection prevention and control and employee health programs. This role develops, implements, and evaluates policies and procedures to prevent and control infections and communicable diseases; conducts surveillance, outbreak investigations, exposure follow-up, and required reporting; and supports antibiotic stewardship and infection prevention education. The position oversees employee health requirements, including pre-employment and annual TB screening, influenza and Hepatitis B vaccination programs, and monitoring of employee health related to infectious illnesses. The Employee Health-Infection Preventionist collaborates with clinical and administrative teams to promote regulatory compliance, evidence-based practices, employee safety, and a safe environment for patients, residents, visitors, and staff.
Minimum Requirements:
Associate degree
Current unrestricted Mississippi RN license
Good communication skills (written and oral)
Good customer relations, interpersonal, phone, computer, and organizational skills
Certified in Infection Control preferred

Position Type: Full-Time
Hours: 8:00-4:30 M-F (may vary depending on facility needs)
